Christian podcasting is a way of providing Christian material that is easily available to people all over the world. There are Christian podcasting sermons, Christian podcasting music, Christian bible reading podcasts and Christian radio podcasts. The Church has long recognized that the Christian message does not just belong in a building. Different ways of spreading the Christian message include websites and radio programs. These different methods allow people to hear the Christian message who may not be willing (or able) to attend Church. They also provide a way of encouraging and uplifting Christians when they are not at Church.
Can Podcasting Attract Young People to Church?
Young people can sometimes see church as "daggy" and "full of old people". Podcasts provide young people who are uncomfortable with going to church with a way of hearing the message in a format they are more comfortable with. Many young people use the internet and iPods regularly.
They are more likely to hear (and listen to) the Christian message in this format than they are to suddenly starts attending Church. It also allows young people the opportunity to explore the Christian message and share it with their friends in a non-confrontational way.
In this way, podcasts can be a great method for attracting young people to church. Once they listen to Christian podcasts, they often seek out Christian mentors and start attending Church.

These are not only good for people who have not heard the Christian message, but they can also be encouraging and uplifting for young people during their everyday lives. Young people often have a lot of temptation and peer pressure. Podcasts help them receive spiritual nourishment when they are aware from church.
